Overview of The Visability Agency
The Visability Agency is a creative production studio reshaping how disability is seen, heard, and valued in media. We produce thought-provoking films that advance the visibility of disability in culture. By centering disabled creators and storytellers both in front of and behind the camera, we champion disability as a creative and cultural asset.
Our Ask
We are seeking funding to support the production of “yep, it started with a line,” a short documentary spotlighting the lived experience and artistic impact of disabled artist Emmett Kyoshi Wilson. The funds will support ethical, inclusive storytelling by enabling fair compensation for our creative crew, covering essential costs such as gear, sound, and accessibility coordination, securing post-production services, and supporting festival fees and distribution – all while centering disability-led productions.

Our newest project, “yep, it started with a line,” is a narrative documentary chronicling Emmett Kyoshi Wilson’s rise as a disabled artist in Chicago, exploring the barriers disabled creators face in the global art world.

Funding Needs
We are currently requesting $100,000 to fund general start up operating expenses as well as production cost associated with our first documentary “yep, it started with a line” !
