Overview of Evergreen

Evergreen is a personalized digital platform for student flourishing created by Dartmouth students and researchers to deliver real-time, personalized insights that help college students flourish academically, mentally, and personally. Powered by generative AI and built on decades of Dartmouth research, Evergreen is designed to support student success throughout the undergraduate’s journey. At its core, Evergreen is about students supporting students: in collaboration with campus experts in technology and well-being, more than 300 college students (and counting!) have worked on creating this platform.

Through funding Evergreen, donors directly expand a proven and scalable solution that can become the national model for campus wide behavioral health and wellness, turning contributions into a legacy of student flourishing and academic success

Research Capital Needs & Timeline

Evergreen has raised at total of $5.8M towards the $7.5M goal to fully fund phase 1 and phase 2.

Phase 1 – $3,5M goal – Funded – The development of a structured AI platform interface as well as the usability study.
Phase 2 – $4M goal – $2.8M Funded. Seeking an additional $1.2M to complete phase two, the creation of a generative AI interface platform and funding a 200-student IRB clinical trial. Evergreen is being built and tested at Dartmouth with a goal of scaling nationally. We are currently investigating academic and industry partnerships to support the growth plan.

Research Status & Prior Funding

Evergreen is currently in usability studies with a cohort of current undergraduate students. Recruitment for a 200-student clinical trial is underway. The development of the generative AI interface in the works with a goal of completion by January 2027. Evergreen has secured commitments of $5.8M (as on 6/1/2026).
